Dupont Thickener & Thinner
Dupont Thickener / Thinner
The Diluant concentrated thinner is used to dilute the concentrated colors into medium and pastel shades. This product is highly recommended to create even backgrounds, without brush strokes or hard lines. The prepared thinner is pre-mixed. It contains alcohol and helps the color to diffuse on the silk or effects of salt. You have to work fast as it dries very quickly.
Suggested mixing ratio:
Diluant Concentré 20 - 40 ml at 980 ml water
Diluant Préparé 10 - 50 % of the thinner into the color

Dupont Serti

It is suitable for all gutta techniques in silkpainting. Use a medium sized nib because the line will appear larger on the silk.

Dupont Devorant
Dupont Devorant
Dupont Devorant works on the principle of selectively destroying textile fibres. It destroys or burns out viscose and plant fibres (cotton, linen, etc.), while others remain intact, such as polyester and animal fibres (silk, wool, etc.). On mixed-fibre fabrics, a wide array of artistic effects can be achieved, by highlighting the contrast between the destroyed and the intact fibres. On sigle-fibre fabrics such as 100 % cotton and 100 % viscose, the Devorant enables some of the fabric to be burnt out depending on how the product is applied. In this way lace or buttonhole effects can be achieved.

Dupont AlterEgo
Dupont AlterEgo
AlterEgo - Double Dyeing
The technique of double-dyeing is based on the chemical difference of two dye colors, each suitable for a particular fibre. Alter Ego is used on mixed fabrics like silk/viscose, silk/linen, silk/hemp, etc. to achieve bicolored effects. Alter Ego is particularly suitable for devore (burn-out) fabrics, especially velvet and satin where the design in relief is made of viscose and the base fabric is made of silk. Dyeing with Alter Ego is done in one pot.
